State police investigating suspicious death

Dashawn Cornellius Green-Brewster, 27, was discovered dead Thursday along Mulligan Hill Road in West Wheatfield Township, authorities said.
A Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) employee was inspecting a nearby drain along Mulligan Hill Road when he found what appeared to be a body in a grassy area of the roadway, Trooper Clifford Greenfield said Friday in a news release.
Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman Jr. pronounced Green-Brewster dead at the scene and subsequently identified him as a resident of Philadelphia.
An autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death was conducted Friday at ForensicDX in Windber. Final results of the autopsy and toxicology are not available due to ongoing examination and investigation.

Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman Jr. has released the name of a person who was found dead in West Wheatfield Township on Thursday.
In a report, Overman says that 27-year-old Dashawn Cornellius Green-Brewster of Philadelphia was found shortly before 3 p.m. while a PennDOT employee was inspecting drainage pipes in the area. An autopsy and toxicology exam were conducted on Friday, however no cause of death is reported at this time.
State police in Indiana urge anyone with information leading to the cause of Green-Brewster’s death to call 724-357-1960.

State police announced this morning that they are investigating a suspicious death that was discovered yesterday in West Wheatfield Township.
In a news release, police say that troopers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Mulligan Hill Road between Robinson and New Florence in West Wheatfield Township at 2:15 PM. A PennDOT employee inspecting a nearby drain along the road found what appeared to be a body in a grassy area. Troopers responding to the scene confirmed the death and called in Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman, Jr. to pronounce the victim dead at the scene.

A 14-year-old girl from Penn Run in Indiana County passed away in a crash yesterday on Route 553.
Indiana County Coroner Jerry Overman, Jr. said that Brittany Eileen Keith was killed in a crash on Route 553 near Route 422 east at 4:47 PM. Overman says that Keith was a backseat passenger of a vehicle that tried to avoid a head-on collision with another vehicle that had crossed the center line and gone into its path. After going off the roadway, Keith’s vehicle hit a tree.
Keith was treated on scene and transported to Indiana Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
