There are still frustrations with the slow pace of immunizations. Liz Healy, infection control specialist with Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, says the state Department of Health is working to even out the distribution. Healy says it’s difficult to plan for any type of vaccination clinic. She says they are in frequent contact with the Health Department. Yankton to host 2021 NAIA National Indoor Track and Field Championships

YANKTON, S.D. (KELO.com) The 2021 NAIA National Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held in Yankton at the Ruth Donohoe First Dakota Field House at Mount Marty University. The meet has been held at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Facility the last two years, but due to Covid-19, that facility is not available. The meet is hosted by Dakota State University and Athletic Director Jeff Dittman says they are happy to be able to move to Yankton. Great Plains Athletic Conference Commissioner Corey Westra says they want a safe venue for their athletes. Mount Marty Athletic Director Chris Kassin says they want to make it a success.
