SEYMOUR — Carl Miller, III, longtime owner and president of the Seymour based funeral home, Miller Ward Funeral Home, has announced the succession of his longstanding funeral home to Jerry
Angela Chickie Lacerenza, a lifelong Stamford resident, passed away peacefully from natural causes January 7th, 2021 with her family at her side. She was 89 years old.
Angela was born in Stamford on September 1, 1931, the youngest of five children born to the late Vincenza Passaro and Louis E. Tosches. She was predeceased in 2015 by her husband of over sixty years, Richard D. Lacerenza.

Angela graduated from Stamford High School in 1949 and from the University of Bridgeport School of Nursing in 1953. She worked for several years as a Registered Nurse at Greenwich Hospital before starting a family.
Angela and Richard met during high school and married in 1955. Throughout their lives, she supported Richard and the family s Stamford business, Lacerenza Funeral Home, even holding a Connecticut Funeral Director s license until Richard s death in 2015. The business is still operating under the direction of the family s fourth generation members, now nearing its 100th annive
