Reno, NV The suspect wanted in connection to the murder of Savana Lee Burger was captured at a casino in Reno.
We reported earlier that Burger, 27, who was from Amador County, went missing in October. Her remains were located this month by detectives and search and rescue officials in the West Point area of Calaveras County. Evidence collected during the investigation led to an arrest warrant being issued for 44-year-old Jerry Lee Adams Jr.
The Amador County Sheriff’s Office received a tip that Adams was in Reno, so the information was relayed to the Reno Police Department. Adams was soon located at a casino and taken into custody for the alleged murder. He will remain in the Washoe County Jail until his extradition to the Amador County Jail.
Jerry Lee Adams is now under arrest in Reno .
1/22/21 UPDATE: The murder suspect Jerry Lee Adams Jr. has been arrested in Reno. For the past two days, investigators from the Amador County Sheriff s Office followed up on multiple tips regarding the suspect s whereabouts. On Friday, January 22, 2021, they developed information that Adams was possibly in the Reno area. This information was provided to the Reno Police Department and at approximately 4:00 p.m., Adams was located inside a Reno area casino and arrested for the murder of Savana Lee Burger. Adams will remain in custody in Washoe County, where he will await extradition to Amador County.

The man accused of killing a 27-year-old Amador County woman was been extradited back to California after being found in Reno in mid-January.
Sheriff’s deputies transported the suspect Jerry Adams from the Washoe County Jail to the Amador County Jail earlier on Thursday.
Adams is accused of killing Savana Lee Burger.
WEST POINT A 44-year-old Amador County man is being sought in connection to the homicide of a missing local woman whose remains were discovered last weekend in Calaveras County, authorities said.
The Amador County Sheriff s Office has issued a warrant for the arrest of Jerry Lee Adams Jr. of Pine Grove on suspicion of the murder of Savana Lee Burger, 27, also of Pine Grove. Burger disappeared in October, and her remains were discovered last week near West Point in Calaveras County.
Amador County deputies responded to a missing persons report filed by Burger’s mother on Oct. 23. Her mother was concerned because her daughter had missed an important court date. Deputies were able to determine that Burger was last in the area of West Point through cellphone data, the Amador County Sheriff s Office said.
