Lahaina: Waves of Change, a documentary dedicated to Lahaina and recounted through the eyes of Hawaiian musician Eddie Kamae, will be screened at this month’s “Movies at the Old Prison.” The free event will be held on Saturday, April 29 at 7 p.m.

LAHAINA Lahaina News Editor Mark Vieth on Dec. 15 received the prestigious Mahalo Award for the year 2020, which was presented by Barbara Potts, newly elected president, and Richard Endsley, co-founder and past president of the Lahaina Complex Education Foundation. This award is normally presented at the annual awards ceremony in the springtime, but with the advent of COVID-19, that event had to be canceled. The annual award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to education and the community of Lahaina.
