it was spring of 2005 when a nine-year-olds were found stabbed multiple time s their bodies lying side by side in the park. within days laura hobbs own father was charged with the heinous crime. case remained dormant for years when 21-year-old jorge torres dna was entered into the data base. it was a match with the dna found on hobbs. he was charged with multiple counts of criminal sexual assault. his family confirms he was living in zion in 2005 and a close family friend of one of the victims. this morning jerry hobbs public attorney said jerry was charged less than 48 hours after the body was found. he has spent five years waiting for the day to grieve his daughter s death. hobbs trial date is october 6. investigators continue to pour over this new dna evidence. it could all change here very quickly. no word if and when torres will be brought back from virginia. back to illinois. live outside the cook county the lake county courthouse, wgn news. illinois is now the f
where homes are very far apart and it s hilly, so as far as we know, nobody s basement is filling up with water or anything like that. now, i know that over the weekend, montgomery county residents were conserving water because there was concerns about a very, very large, i believe a 96-inch water main break, having some problems. this is not that water main break. those problems have been repaired. so right now, you know, what this is at this point, other than certainly an inconvenience and nuisance for the washington suburban sanitary commission, no damage from this. we have seen wsse truck pull up but as i said my experience with these things is very often the efforts to turn it off takes place at another location so just because we can t see anyone up there working on this, does not mean they re doing it right now and we have no reports of any type of changes in water pressure in the area. we re going to try to get that information and bring it to you when we get it. back
