May the sixth actually not may the fifth although some of you may still be reveling in your Cinco De Mayo celebrations and want to keep it may fifth today. But otherwise, we are look, at changing weather through the weekend. Weve still got some pesky showers as low pressure slowly drifts off towards the north and east. Everything that you see on radar drifting downward from cleveland, pittsburgh, charleston, thats a trough thats going to swing through and bring us clouds showers and Cool Conditions today. A little closer to home nothing overhead in washington. There has been a little shower activity out by Cumberland Hagerstown along that 68 corridor. Headed towards winchester and that area of course hosting the virginia golf. 55 in westminster. Its 59 in annapolis. Winds are still out of the south as the actual cold front has not pushed through yet. You could see we are kind of breezy 20 miles an hour in washington but it is through places like cumberland so expect that wind shift to
The midwest and the eastern seaboard. We are under a wind chill advisory here in the philadelphia area. You can see the whole region shaded in that lighter blue, that cold looking blue. Wind chills will range from five below down the shore to 20 below or colder overnight through the pocono region. Thats where the coldest air will be. Were sitting at zero. It is zero in mount pocono at the moment, 15 in philadelphia, 9 degrees in allentown and 18 in wildwood. Even colder as you head off to the north and west where were subzero in minneapolis des moines and chicago. Buffalo is at 2 degrees at the moment but the winds are still strong. Current winds out of the north and west and these are sustained. These are not gusts. Winds sustained at about 20 Miles Per Hour at the airport, 20s Miles Per Hour in wilmington. Gusts 30 Miles Per Hour through the next several hours and thats why were experiencing the worst of the wind chills tonight into early tomorrow morning. The worst of it minus 15 to
Zero especially in the poconos. Right now it is only 3 degrees. We have dropped down in the teens here in philadelphia. Nineteen right now. Eighteen in Atlantic City and 21 degrees in wildwood. Again, it is feeling worse thanks to the very strong wind. Wind are sustained in the 15 to 20 Miles Per Hour range still with gusts over 30 Miles Per Hour. So, late tonight early tomorrow morning, that is when you will want to stay inside as much as possible, wear as many layers as possible and keep those kids and pets out of the cold if you can. The lets look at how things are shaping up outside and meteorologist Justin Drabick is in Franklin Square braving the cold, hi justin have you seen a lot of folks out there tonight. Not many people out here, kate. Few people walking their dog and dressed like eskimos, why not, good place to be inside where temperatures are in the teens now and were still getting wind gusting to near 30 miles an hour in the city. Franklin square just desserted, right now
