Pizza gift certificates to the first 50 getting shots
Newark is offering a dine and vaccination event on Wednesday that will offer a pizza gift certificate.
In partnership with the State of Delaware and Curative, the city announced a Johnson & Johnson/Janssen pop-up vaccine clinic on Wednesday, May 12, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. during the weekly Main Street Alfresco dining event.
The first 50 people to get shots will receive a Grotto Pizza gift certificate.
The J&J vaccine is a one-and-done vaccine, unlike the two-shot Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna offerings.
The Curative tent will be assembled at the west end of Main Street between Dunkin’ and Grotto Pizza. Appointments can be made in advance here, and walk-ups are welcome.
