Official Proceedings of the Stutsman County Commission Special Meeting December 27, 2022 At 9:02 a.m., Chairman Klose called the special meeting of the Stutsman County Commission to order. Jerry Bergquist, Joan Morris, Steven Cichos (via phone) and Mark Klose answered the roll call. Chad Wolsky was absent. Jessica Alonge, Auditor/COO presented the responses received from Jon Heath of Brown & Brown, the consultant for NDPHIT. If the County provides the one year written notice to leave the trust and subsequently relinquishes that notice to confirm acceptance of the 2024 plan year renewal anticipated in or around July 2023, the County will be able to maintain participation in the trust and would not be bound by the 90% loss ratio policy that has been proposed for new members. Bergquist made a motion to write a letter of termination to NDPHIT, with the intent to obtain bids for health insurance beginning in 2024, making a final decision in 2023, seconded by Morris.
