COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS â Saturday afternoon, the weather wasn t the only thing bringing the heat in Brazos County.
President of the Brazos County First Responders Association, Jerry Barratt, says the Association steps in and helps officers and their family members who may be suffering from an illness or an on-duty injury and these funds can help cover costs not covered by insurance. If you could see the look on someone s face when you hand them a check in a time when they really need it and they know someone is there for them, it makes a big difference, Barratt added.
