The Crosslake City Council agreed to again pursue a local option sales tax something members earlier sought in 2020, but plans were interrupted by the pandemic. Revenue from the bump in tax would go toward supporting specific projects including those at the wastewater plant, as well as the extension of city sewer service to the northern end of County Highway 66 and around Daggett Lake. The tax could generate an estimated $4.8 million over the course of 15 years, officials said.
