In this story, Myrtle faces her death more with regret and reckoning than with peace or redemption.” Mitchell plays Myrtle Bledsoe in Horton Foote’s one-woman reminisce, “A Coffin in Egypt,” about a privileged Texan royal trying to reconcile her life’s choices amidst class, race, and women’s issues of the 20th century.
