Man sentenced for receiving profits from prostitution

Kimberly Colt Cuningham, 29, of Rice, was sentenced May 14 to three years and nine months in prison, stayed for five years, for one felony count of third-degree drug possession. She was given credit for one year served in jail. Cuningham will be on supervised probation for five years. If she breaks terms of probation, she could go to prison. Judge Kris Davick-Halfen presided.  Aivan James Updike, 25, of Sauk Rapids, was sentenced May 13 to one year in jail, with 275 days stayed, for one gross misdemeanor count of interfering with an emergency call. Updike will serve 90 days in jail, which could be reduced to 30 days if Updike reports timely, according to court records. Updike will be on supervised probation for two years. Judge Michael Jesse presided. One felony count of domestic assault was dismissed.
