GUWAHATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who visited the state on Sunday, is likely to visit the state again on February 7, to address campaigns ahead of the upcoming assembly election.
He is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of a medical college at Biswanath district and perform ‘bhumi poojan’ for the long-awaited two-lane bridge connecting Jorhat and Majuli, the river island district, on the Brahmaputra.
The tender for the construction of the bridge was floated by the Union ministry of road transport and highways in November last year. The work is expected to be completed in 48 months at a cost of Rs 687.9 crore.
Prime Minister Modi Likely to Visit Assam Again on February 7
Earlier this month, PM Modi visited Sivasagar s Jerenga Pathar wherein he distributed land pattas to over 1 lakh people and participated in a rally.
GUWAHATI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is said to visit Assam on February 7, 2021.
This was disclosed by sources in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) party.
It is to be mentioned that with the Assam Assembly election around the corner the national leaders of the ruling BJP party is leaving no stones unturned to acquire the committed 100 plus seats.
Earlier this month, PM Modi distributed 1.06 lakh land pattas/allotment certificates to indigenous people of Assam in Sivasagar on January 23.
