Weekend rains helped firefighters gain the upper hand on the Rocky Branch Fire in Shenandoah National Park. As of Tuesday morning it was reported to be 76 percent contained, and all of Skyline Drive was expected to be open to traffic on Wednesday.
The Virginia Department of Forestry says firefighters have nearly gotten all of the blazes in Page and Rockingham counties contained as of Monday afternoon.
