Lexington hires Masi as new high school principal

Superintendent Jeremy Secrist has worked with Masi at two districts. I had the pleasure of working with Jamie when I was at Madison and observed what an organized, intelligent and effective teacher, coach and leader he was, Secrist said. We were thrilled when we were able to hire Jamie at Lexington as an assistant high school principal. Over the last two years, he has consistently displayed his honesty, integrity, work ethic and leadership abilities. He will be a successful principal, and we are happy to watch him continue to grow as a leader. Taught, coached at Madison High  Masi is finishing up his second year at the high school. He joked it feels like 10 years with all the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lexington principal retiring after 22 years at Central Elementary School LEXINGTON - This time it s for real. A year ago, Kathy Weidig retired and was rehired by the Lexington Local Schools Board of Education. She has been the principal at Central Elementary School since 1999. The board of education accepted her resignation at its most recent meeting. Weidig s retirement will be effective July 31. Everybody said when you re ready to go, you ll know. I ve been thinking about it for a long time, she said. I think they need somebody younger and more energetic in here. Influencing lives for over 20 years For over 20 years, Kathy has been influencing the lives of students and staff at Central Elementary. She has an enormous heart and has gone above and beyond too many times to count to ensure that students are taken care of both in and out of the classroom, he said.
