Affordable apartments units in a new project in Winnipeg’s Exchange District will now cost even less after a funding commitment from the Manitoba government.
Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland pledged federal support Thursday for a 21-storey tower in downtown Winnipeg, which will create 214 apartment units including 84 designated as affordable housing and two office or commercial spaces on the ground floor.
