I’m only counting full-lengths, so Glassjaw’s ‘Coloring Book’ EP won’t be mentioned. Though you should listen to that EP whilst reading; that shit rips!) Now, let’s take a trip down memory lane!

What’s left to say?
For many of us, 2020 was the worst year of our lives. No need to list all the reasons why.
But even as the pandemic snarled just about every aspect of our lives to a screeching halt, music somehow endured. In fact, it was a supremely good year for album releases, due in some part to musicians being kept from touring and allowed ample time to create from home.
This year we had gargantuan surprises, sensational debuts, hopeful comebacks whenever concerts resume, there will be literally too many worthy shows to see in support of these artists (what I’d give to have such a problem again).
15 Great Screamo & Post-Hardcore Releases of 2020
After its 90s/early 00s heyday, screamo became an overly misused word within mainstream music, and most of the genre s best bands headed even deeper underground, maybe referring to themselves as skramz or emoviolence, but continuing to make great music no matter what anyone called it. 45 Best Punk Albums of 2020
I think it goes without saying how insane of a year 2020 was, but there were things to be grateful for too, and one of those things is the incredible amount of great punk records that came out this year. Aside from the fact that so many of these albums had messages that resonated strongly this year, it was inspiring to see how the punk community came together during some of the toughest times, even in a year where we couldn t get together physically. Throughout the whole year, this vast community protested, amplified voices, launched fundraisers, and helped support so many people, and released a lot of great music in the process. I tried to narrow down the best of it to 45 albums and EPs, but it wasn t easy. Countless great records came out this year under the punk umbrella, and even stopping at 45 meant leaving out some great ones.
