Prosecutors say On September 11, 2018, Wilson broke into the woman’s apartment, stole her television then set fire to her bedroom, destroying her entire apartment. Weeks later, the woman accidentally dialed Wilson as she was driving a friend to the InTown Suites on Highlands Parkway. Subsequently, Wilson tracked her down and attacked her, then set her car on fire.

A spokesperson for the Cobb District Attorney s Office said 29-year-old Jerel Jay Wilson committed arson in 2018 incidents separated by a few weeks. Prosecutors said Wilson first broke into a woman s home after he d been texting her about her new boyfriend and set fire to her bedroom. Several weeks later, prosecutors said Wilson attacked the woman in a hotel parking lot and set her car on fire when he found out she was driving a man to a Smyrna hotel.
