Last year, Toronto punks PUP released their excellent Album Of The Week, THE UNRAVELING OF PUPTHEBAND, which they swiftly followed up with a live EP in October: PUP Unravels Live In Front Of Everyone They Know. As they continue touring through Europe and the US, PUP have shared two brand-new songs: “How To Live With Yourself” and “Smoke Screen,” which are previously unreleased B-sides from The Unraveling.
Multi-platinum rap rock band Hollywood Undead share the music video for “House of Mirrors” featuring multi-genre sensation Jelly Roll. Available exclusively on the digital version of Hotel Kalifornia Deluxe, the song is a story of self-reflection and was co-written with Jelly Roll in a studio session last year.
Berkeley punk legends Rancid, literally my favorite band of all time, have never broken up or gone inactive, but they tend to go long stretches without releasing new music. Rancid’s last album was Trouble Maker, which came out way back in 2017. The band keeps touring, and its members keep themselves busy; just last month, Tim Armstrong reunited with his old Operation Ivy bandmate Jesse Michaels to form a new band called Bad Optix and to release the debut single “Raid.” Now, the Rancid machine has come back to life, and there’s a new album on the way.
