Jenny Barta, a public health nurse and disease prevention and control coordinator for Carlton County, was given AFSCME's "Never Quit" service award to recognize her work during the first two years of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier this month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that negative test results no longer need to be reported. This week, the Minnesota health department stopped reporting testing volume, too, a decision tied to the new federal guidance.
