It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Mr. James Walter âJimâ Hendrickson on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the age of 46 years. Jim was born on March 19, 1974 in Innisfail, Alberta, to Harvey and Marilyn Hendrickson. He grew up in Spruce View; where he attended school, played minor hockey and was involved in 4-H. At a young age, Jim developed a passion for working with tools; always taking things apart and putting them back together. He spent endless hours with his dad working on vehicles. Being outdoors was a big part of his life. He enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, camping and water skiing. In later years, he took up the bow and arrow, and hunting. Jim was blessed with two boys, from his first marriage. He devoted his time to them; teaching them the things he enjoyed as a young child. Jennifer Willet, a University of Windsor professor who loves to mix together science and art, wants to bring the mysteries of BioArt to the people.
Giant sheets of brown paper still cover the windows at the university’s Incubator Art Lab at 144 University Ave. W., just a stone’s throw from the Capitol Theatre.
