ASHLAND - Santa Claus is back. After being absent from downtown for more than a decade, the animatronic Santa figure that was a staple in Gilbert Furniture store s holiday window displays has been restored and returned to its place of honor, compliments of the Ashland County Historical Society. The building at 105 W. Main St. now houses Uniontown Brewing Co., but Santa looks right at home in the front window, standing next to a festive tree. I think it s awesome, said Sandra Tunnell, executive director of Ashland Main Street.  I think it works so well, especially at Uniontown, because they do appreciate the history of Gilbert. The decorations that they have all over are the decorations that they found while they were working in the building.
