Remembering Dr. Charles Fager IV: ‘a wonderful, kind and caring vet’

Fager, 96, died Feb. 26 at home.
He was a 1943 graduate of the former William Penn High School. He was a graduate of Gettysburg College and a 1955 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School.
Fager served as a radio-gunner on a B-17 during World War II in Italy.
He received the Air Metal and two Oak Leaf Clusters; the EAME Theater Ribbon, four Bronze Stars and the Distinguished Unit Citation Badge.
Fager enjoyed HAMM radio, building model airplanes, maintaining a vegetable garden, fish pond and raising bees.
