CHARLESTON, Mo. (WSIL) A Missouri middle school is leading by example to put an end to bullying with a new campaign for the kids to follow. Don t mess with somebody. Like, treat some like you want to be treated, said 8th grader, Saylor Humphrey.
After weeks of planning a group of students At Charleston Middle School spent their spirit week kicking off their anti-bullying campaign, Change Starts With Me, with help from the Megan Meier foundation. That was for those students to really take ownership of adults, staff members can do all we can to combat this and to kind of make a difference…in the end it s the students that are taking charge and saying I want a change in my school and the change starts with me, said school counselor, Jennifer Dement.
