Dunlap downs Lady Giants

CANTON The Lady Giants high school girls’ basketball team lost a close one to Dunlap Saturday, 36-28.
Dunlap jumped out to an early lead ending the first quarter 8-3.
Dunlap took a 10-point lead into the half, 24-14.
The Lady Giants would close that gap somewhat at the end of three, 31-24, but were unable to make up the difference and suffered the loss.
Leading scorer for Canton was Ava Wenger with 11 points.
Adding five each were Bree Williamson and Ellie Downing.
Scoring three points for Canton was Lily Gilles.
Jenna Goforth and Ashley Groves both ended the game with two points each.
