CANAAN – Getting a shot in the arm was appreciated by those who turned out for Wednesday’s mobile COVID-19 vaccine clinic.
Canaan was one of the smallest towns to host the event as part of FEMA’s 60-day program in the state. Conducted by Griffin Health, the clinic allowed those with appointments, as well as walk-ins, to be inoculated with the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
Originally the plan was to administer the Johnson & Johnson brand, but a quick decision was made Tuesday to switch to Pfizer after J&J vaccinations were paused due to concerns about blood clotting.
