Skyroller Swoops At Red Shores | Standardbred Canada

Coming from worst to first, Woodmere Skyroller delivered as the post time favourite in the top event of the evening Thursday at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park. Corey MacPherson supplied the winning steer for trainer Kevin MacLean and owner Reg MacPherson of Stratford as the champion daughter of Rollwithitharry won in 1:58.1 over a muddy track rated two-seconds off. Gonna Fool Ya (Driven by David Dowling) was first to the lead in the $2,900 Fillies and Mares preferred class and put down splits of :29.2 and :59.2 before Woodmere Skyroller appeared from the back of the pack and made front at the three-quarters of 1:28.4. Gonna Fool Ya fought back in the final panel to fall half-a-length short in second with Killean Finale (Ken Murphy) third.
