An investigation into a Snowbirds aircraft crash in Fort St. John, B.C., in early August has found the crash was due to an improperly assembled oil filter.
Lt.-Gen. Eric Kenny, the new commander of the Royal Canadian Air Force, sees a bright future ahead for the Snowbirds despite the planes having been grounded after a hard landing in Fort Saint John, B.C. earlier this month.
The Canadian Forces Snowbirds will not be flying in an upcoming festival and likely a major summer airshow in B.C. after one plane in the fleet was damaged when a takeoff went wrong on Tuesday.
