Jamie Dornan has been cast as the lead of “The Tourist,” a limited series from BBC One and HBO Max.
Harry and Jack Williams are writing the series, which follows one man’s search for his identity. Along with Dornan, the six-episode show will star Danielle Macdonald, Shalom Brune-Franklin and Hugo Weaving.

HBO Max has officially partnered with BBC One to produce a brand new mystery thriller limited series titled
The Tourist with
Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan attached for the leading role. The project hails from Two Brothers Pictures, the production behind the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning Fleabag series.
“T
he Tourist are some of the most exciting scripts I’ve ever read. I can’t wait to go to Australia with such a talented group of people,” Dornan said in a statement.
“Harry and Jack’s talents are as vast as the Australian outback, and this thriller will leave viewers on the edge of their seat piecing together the puzzle,” Senior Vice President, for HBO Max’s International Originals, Jeniffer Kim said.

Jamie Dornan has been cast in the lead role of the upcoming limited series “The Tourist.” In addition, HBO Max has boarded the project and will co-produce along with Two Brothers Pictures as well as serve as the show’s streaming home in the U.S.
Alongside Dornan, the six-episode series will star Danielle Macdonald, Shalom Brune-Franklin, and Hugo Weaving. Filming is set to begin soon in Australia. The show was commissioned last year by BBC One, Stan, and ZDF. It hails from writers Harry and Jack Williams.

The Tourist,” and that Jamie Dornan will star in the limited series alongside Danielle Macdonald, Shalom Brune-Franklin, and Hugo Weaving. The project comes from BAFTA-nominated and Emmy and Golden Globe-winning production company Two Brothers Pictures, which also worked on “Baptiste,” “The Missing,” and “Fleabag.”
