FLUSHING TWP, MI Concerns remains for some residents in Flushing Township after the planning commission approved the draft to a marijuana text amendment ordinance.
Ordinance 2021-01-Home Occupations Text Amendment seeks to regulate marijuana growing operations by township caregivers by putting in place new sets of principles many residents have expressed as restrictive to the growing process.
“Really, really unfortunate how it ended,” said Buddy Dalton, owner and president of Clio Cultivation. “It would’ve been fine if they changed a few things, send it back to consulting one more time. It’s close, it’s getting better, so if you’re asking me if it’s improving, yes. Is it even close to being right yet? Not quite yet, it’s not there yet, a couple things need to be changed at this point.”
