A pause in the buying after we saw another little trifecta yesterday. Record closes for the dow, s p, and nasdaq pulling back just a bit here. Continuing the pattern of up one day down the next. Weve seen that for the dow for the last several weeks. S p futures down 4. 5. Nasdaq futures down almost 8 points. Check out the british pound slumping to the lowest level against the euro in over three years. Giving a little bit of relief this morning. We just got word that cpi Consumer Price inflation reported down. 1 . Up. 6 for the year on year was expected to be unchanged. Important because its the first hard data postbrexit for the month of july. All weve gotten so far are surveys. Were going to start getting a picture on how the brexit is impacting the economy. Best day for the dow in two weeks and gains are set to continue. Marginal gains. S p up less than a full point. Dow jones up 17. Nasdaq up 2. One more trading day in the month, two, today and tomorrow. We are seeing another month of gains. Fractional. We still continue the streak of not having a 1 move, but the path of least resistance appears to be to the upside. Lowest volume day of the year yesterday. So far a continuation of the Interest Rate from the stocks from friday did well. All be it confusingly bond yields did slip down. Banks were the best performing sector. Equities playing catchup with the dollar move we had with rate rise expectations. See energy do well despite oil prices slipping. A couple of dislocations. Lets show you the tenyear treasury yield. Futures another mini selloff yesterday. Importantly, the nasdaqs first back to bake daily decline in two months. Were flat this morning. Not a lot of risk taking going on ahead of the big janet yellen speech. Nasdaq futures under a tiny bit of pressure here. Health care has been a big story. That has dragged down the embassies. That has had a rough couple of day is. And the worst week for bio tech and health care. As for the tenyear treasury note yield, we hover around 1. 55 level. Will janet yellen cause higher yields is the big question. If she talks up the strength in the federal economy. The need to raise Interest Rat
