A police badge that belonged to one of the Nevada Highway Patrol troopers killed Thursday was found during a search of the vehicle driven by the man arrested in connection with the fatal crash, police said.
Chief Deputy District Attorney Shanon Clowers said the driver, Jemarcus Williams, was “heavily intoxicated” at the Palms casino shortly before the crash.
Two Nevada Highway Patrol troopers were struck and killed Thursday on northbound Interstate 15 near Charleston Boulevard. Las Vegas police are investigating.
