Patna, Jun 1 (PTI) Polling commenced on Saturday morning for eight Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar, along with the by-election to the Agiaon assembly seat, to determine the fate of 134 candidates.
In Bihar, family members of an eighty-year-old woman who died on Saturday chose to cast their votes before performing her last rites. The incident occurred during the last phase of polling at Devkuli village in the Jehanabad Lok Sabha constituency. Mithilesh Yadav, the son of the deceased, stated that they prioritized voting as elections come only every five years. After voting at booth number 115, they proceeded with the cremation. Voting is ongoing in eight constituencies in Bihar during the final phase, including Patna Sahib, Patliputra, Arrah, Karakat, Jehanabad, Buxar, and Nalanda.
