Ugale, BARMM police director, said Monday all police units in the region have been placed on heightened alert for possible retaliatory attacks from followers of the slain DI leader. Government forces has killed the leader of terrorist group Dawlah Islamiya Philippines during an operation in Talayan, Maguindanao, the military said on Friday.
MANILA: The Philippine military said on Friday that it had killed the top leader of Daulah Islamiyah, a group suspected of carrying out a series of deadly attacks in the country’s south. Salahuddin Hassan died in a clash with government troops in Talayan, Maguindanao province in the early hours of Friday, the military said in a press briefing.
