The University of California Board of Regents delayed an announcement regarding the employment of students without legal status, leaving the board two weeks to meet its self-imposed deadline to produce a plan that could allow thousands of students to apply for on-campus positions.
Hundreds of students marched from Wilson Plaza to Murphy Hall and Kerckhoff Hall, calling for the UC Board of Regents to finalize an implementation plan allowing the UC to hire all students regardless of their immigration status.
