The US Navy has relieved two destroyers' commanders, a top officer of the USS Bulkeley, the commander of the Recruit Training Command, and the commanding officer of an Electronic Attack Squadron in just the past week.
Capt. Jeffry Sandin, cq who had led Recruit Training Command Great Lakes for just over a year, cq was removed from his post Saturday, cq Navy spokesman Cmdr. Brian Wierzbicki cq said. He did not offer a specific reason for the move.
Cmdr. Peter Lesaca, commanding officer of USS Preble, was relieved of his duty on June 14. On Wednesday it emerged that he had been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
