BAY CITY, MI Testifying in court, a 69-year-old 7-Eleven clerk described being robbed at gunpoint by a teenager who threatened to kill him, an experience that left him reeling and mentally traumatized.
“He had the gun pointed right at my head,” Timothy Schroeder testified. “I was not harmed physically at all, but I was harmed mentally.”
Schroeder testified in Bay County District Court on Wednesday, March 17, during the preliminary examination of a 16-year-old Saginaw male who is charged with armed robbery, carrying a weapon with unlawful intent and two counts of felony firearm. Though the teen is charged as an adult and faces 10 more charges in Saginaw County stemming from two 7-Eleven holdups committed within hours of each other on Sept. 12, MLive is not naming him.
