Mailed meth defendant sentenced to 14 years

Mailed meth defendant sentenced to 14 years By Shane Healy Francisco C. Arias was sentenced to 168 months, or 14 years, in federal prison with credit for time served by Chief Judge Frances Tydingco-Gatewood for his participation in a drug scheme that saw methamphetamine mailed to Guam from Las Vegas between 2010 and 2014. His credit for time served brings the remainder of his sentence down to around seven years. In the proceedings, defense attorney Anthony Perez, prosecuting attorney Laura Sambataro from the United States Attorney s Office, and probation officer Jeffrey Ventura agreed Arias should be given the lower end of the sentence for his crimes because of his good behavior while incarcerated.
