The Shelter to Home program at the Convention Center opened last April and as of Monday had 934 clients. Of those, about 85 are eligible to receive the vaccine because they are 65 and older, said Dr. Lou Gilleran, a physician for the county and medical director at the shelter.

The organization’s plan also includes residential, case management, day center and outreach teams providing education on vaccination to people living in its housing programs and to those on the street to encourage individuals to get vaccinated.
