In the Curveâs first game of the road this season, Roansy Contreras tossed six no-hit innings in Altoonaâs 5-1 win over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. In addition, Contreras tallied his second consecutive game with 11 strikeouts while allowing only two walks.
Jeffery Passantino earned a three-inning save after relieving Contreras in the seventh frame, earning six strikeouts in the process.
Oneil Cruz broke a scoreless tie with a two-run home run in the sixth â his first of the season. Canaan Smith-Njigba sealed the game in the ninth with a three-run home run. Smith-Njigba would finish the day with three hits.
