Jefferson Parish To Launch Virtual-Only High School

May 7, 2021 (Getty Images) Officials at Jefferson Parish Public Schools are preparing to launch a new virtual-only high school for the 2021-2022 academic year. JPPS spokesperson Vicki Bristol said yesterday that the District wants to take advantage of new technology to create a school for self-motivated students who have good self-discipline and thrive in an independent environment. The school will have its own dedicated set of teachers but will not include any extracurriculars or athletics.
