Obituary: Guy Samuel Hamrick

Guy Samuel Hamrick Sam was a wonderful husband with an amazing sense of humor. Sam was a caring and loving man who was always willing to help others. He had a beautiful partnership with his wife who he adored. He was a native of Birmingham, AL and was a graduate of Hewitt Trussville High School class of 1959. He went on to graduate from Auburn. He was the proud owner of Hamrick Equipment Service for over 30 years. He was a life-long member of the Zamora Temple and a mason. He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela C Hamrick; his adoring puppies, Buttons and Toto; son, Mike Lawrence (Heather); daughters, Tamara Westcott and Pam Rakes; two grandchildren and one great grandchild. He also leaves behind his extended family, Gabe Shelton, Donna and Bill Hood and their two sons, Hunter and Fisher, Joe and Karla Johnson.

James “Jim” Evatt, 66, of Irondale passed away on April 18, 2021. He attended Leeds High School and worked with GE for several years. He retired from MIS. Jim married the love of his life Debora in May of 1974. He was a devoted and loving husband and father. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandkids. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and camping. Jim was extremely loyal and was a man of his word. He had a big heart and will be missed by all that knew him. A graveside service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East in Trussville on Thursday, April 22nd at 10:00 a.m. James is survived by his loving wife, Debora; his daughter, Michelle Hendrix (Matt); grandkids, Kaitlyn and Chase; his sister, Dianne Jones (Charles), of CA; his brother, Robbie Evatt (Anita); he also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
