BLACK RIVER, N.Y. (WWNY) - In Loving Memory of Leo B Wilson Sr. March 15, 1937-February 5, 2021. Leo B Wilson 83 passed away February 5th, 2021 at home with his family by his side as he had wished.
Leo was born in Theresa NY and moved to Black River, NY in the 1940′s, the son of the late Lena and George Wilson. He attended and graduated from Black River High School. While in High School he joined the National Guard and served for approximately 4 years. After graduation from high school, he attended the Police Academy through the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department. Leo joined the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department in 1967 and retired after 32 years with the Department in 1999.
i can tell you, wolf, the first responder responds to this. you heard it was a regional active shooter response. they, since columbine, they have set in protocols, particularly in this particular area, columbine even though it was a little over eight miles, was in jefferson county. this is arapahoe county. but all across the state of colorado and all across the united states, everything has changed. the paradigm has shifted on active shooter response, because jefferson county sheriff s department, as you recall, they took a lot of heat because they were waiting for the s.w.a.t. team to come there. you heard what the sheriff said. the school resource officer is one of the first responders who was there at the school, assigned to that school. he or she responded to that shooting and then as the officers got there, they usually form in either two, three or four person teams to go in and directly confront the threat. you ve seen the change in training, seen the change in weapons that the o
authority to the ohio attorney general. the police have also posted a timeline of the case. summaries of ohio sex laws, and facts about the police force. the sheriff is now lashing out, saying that people are trying this in the media and on social websites, listen. this case is still under investigation. it will be under investigation until the trial starts. how do you support what you re saying? where is the proof? i thought newspapers were supposed to be able to, whenever they print, back it up with good, solid information, how could you do a story when someone s giving you information that s not even factual. reporter: the two 16 year olds who were charged in this case will be tried in juvenile court in the middle of february. megyn. megyn: all right. trace, thank you. for more on this, we re joined by the ohio attorney general, live from columbus. sir, welcome to the program. thanks so much for being here. thank you, megyn. megyn: so this case is getting a lot of attentio
