A suspect is now in custody in a road-rage shooting earlier this month that left a Blount County man dead.
Blount County Sheriff Mark Moon made an appeal Friday for witnesses to come forward in a fatal road rage shooting that occurred Wednesday night in Remlap.
The road rage incident occurred around 4:43 p.m. Dec. 2 in Palmerdale, in Jefferson County, and an altercation stemming from the incident led to the shooting of 22-year-old Dakota Nunley on Highway 75 near The Church at Remlap, Moon said. Nunley was pronounced dead at the scene.
