says the president should call it quits after one term. let s go outfront. good evening, i m erin burnett, outfront tonight, mentally gone, detached from reality or just a liar. put star witness of today s january 6th committee hearing was trump s attorney general, bill bar who says in no uncertain terms that he made it clear to trump that the lies about a stolen election were exactly that lies. but according to barr, and many other trump aides who testified, trump didn t care. there was never an indication of interest in what the actual facts were. there was somewhat demoralized because i thought boy, if he really believes this stuff, he has, you know, lost contact with he s become detached from reality, if he really believes this stuff. and the so-called stuff being peddled by the president and his rag-tag team of lawyers, this is how they were described by the trump aides and officials who looked into them. they were idiotic claims, b bullshit, crazy, complet
U. S. Attorney issued a superseding or new indictment against pg e which more than doubled the criminal charges. None of the executives showed up for the arraign mentd, but after prosecutors read the indictment, an attorney for pg e responded not guilty to all charges. Pg skn e faces one count of obstructed the federal investigation into the pipeline explosion and 23 counts of violating the safety act. It killed eight people and injured 66 others. 38 homes were destroyed, 17 others badly damaged. If federal prosecutors have their way, the giant utility could be slapped with a 1. 3 billion fine. Pg e maintains it did nothing wrong. No pg e employee intentionally violated any laws. When any errors are made, employees are acting in good faith. Some disagree. We believe its high time pg e cleaned up its act, that it understood and took responsibility, took full responsibility for the negligence, for the inappropriate operations. Morning. So thats the latest here. The nypd bomb squad is inside our offices at Columbus Circle. The package was addressed to 10 Columbus Circle. We dont know who specifically it was addressed to. It did arrive. It was received in the mail room of the building. The staff there alerted authorities, alerted Building Security to the device, and thats when the nypd responded. Obviously they became really concerned almost immediately. Shimon, just very briefly, what do we know about the package that was delivered to the Time Warner Center . Why was it suspicious . What raised the alarm bells . Right, wolf. So what raised the alarm bell is when they xrayed the package, they found what looked like metal material, perhaps a pipe bomb. Weve talked about other pipe bombs or other bombs inside Metal Construction that have
been delivered to other locations. That immediately had everyone concerned. Then also were being told that there were wires, what appeared to be wires inside this package. That
Hillary campaign is talking about it right now, one of her great mistakes from her run in 2008 was not doing well here in iowa. She was out organized by thensenator barack obama. So now getting off to a good start means meeting the voters where they live making the campaign about the voters. Connecting with them on their level and weve seen some of that in the Mission Statement in the hillary for america memo that went out in advance of this weekend. So the expectation is theyll try to show a more humble Hillary Clinton willing to fight for every vote. The rollout on social media seen as a soft start. A humble beginning, if you will. And also an opportunity for her to connect with Younger Voters being on social media. What to expect assuming her announcement comes today, democratic strategist tells me they are trying to run an extraordinarily tight and managed campaign with an attempt to avoid some of the infighting and the missteps of the last goround. Were already seeing that from so
