The removal of several oak trees on a property in Grand Bend’s Southcott Pines has left residents asking questions about the importance of protecting the area’s rare oak savanna ecosystem.
Mary Anne Vanos, a resident of Southcott Pines for about 20 years, noticed the removal of old oak trees from a private property on Shoreline Drive while out for a walk.
