country in the past is what drew us together is a bigger, better cause. the constitution of the united states, the declaration of independence, and the flag that drew us together. i don t know why all these people in grade school, but the greatest nation on the face of the planet. despite our hard times in the past, we learn, we get better and salute that flag and fight for america. that is exactly the opposite of what i hear nike and colin kaepernick in all these other people projecting. it is just fundamentally wrong. shannon: and there are some that were at this kind of stuff actually helps president trump, tweeting this, betsy ross flag is a symbol of white nationalism and slavery, not defiant against really, nike. accelerating just-in-time for 2020. trump feeds on your woke nose, great job, everybody robert. jeff scarborough is an idiot. we have to understand and look at the fact that these troops were serving overseas right now
trump when he lavished praise on vladimir putin, when accused of president obama of wiretapping trump tower, when he accused jeff scarborough of murder or accuse ed whole countries of being dangerous to america. do you buy trump s attorney claim that trump did not write that tweet? i actually think he may not have written the tweet. i kind of agree with scott here, it could be someone else. and i would agree with rick also that he does typically have spelling and grammatical errors. and there aren t a whole lot there. this is actually like, you know, it has a subject, noun, verb there. like there s some fundamentals in writing that seem to exist in this particular tweet. so i m like maybe he didn t write this one. however there s a big however. having said that, what it happened was i believe that donald trump still approved this message. right. i don t believe anybody can get ahold of donald trump s twitter account that he doesn t say this can go on.
senate majority leader harry reid posted this picture on twitter of all the talking heads. the only thing i want to hear from iraq war architect is an apology. harry reid voted in favor of it. he says he needs to redress it. rachel maddow called it maddening. i think her colleague jeff scarborough was implicitly responding to her with this. do we have paul bremer on to have him talk about it? are we afraid to let him talk? no. we allow people to talk. we have a free marketplace of ideas and even people with whom we disagree, we allow them to talk. so there was a backlash to the backlash. i want to ask two people about this who have unique points of view. let me bring in jonathan landa from mcclatche and peter ryan heart. thank you both for being here. good morning.
0 community with strong character. there is no doubt they re going to bounce back, but they need help. just like any of us would need help if we saw the kind of devastation that we re seeing here. we have about 1200 homes that have been completely destroyed, but we ve got 12,000 that have been damaged in one way or another. and that s a big piece of business. along with the schools, we ve got a hospital that has been destroyed. it s going to take a long time for this community to rebuild. so i want to urge every american to step up. if i ve got one message for folks here today, go on line, donate to the american red cross, and if you re from the area and you need to register for disaster assistance, you can call 1-800-621-fema. that s 1-800-621-fema, or you can go to sddisasterassistance.v your leadership and may god bless the people of oklahoma and obviously continue to bless the united states of america. thank you. and there you have it, president obama in moore, oklahoma six days
