The Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism (OACCT) is pleased to announce that funding to reopen the Workforce Center in town looks strong. In the weekly
Tuesday Talk e-newsletter, the chamber states, The Minnesota House and Senate have both passed the Jobs bill which contains $275,000 for the next two years to reopen the workforce center in Owatonna. The bill moves on to the governor. Owatonna is the only city over 20,000 in population currently without a workforce center, according to the newsletter. Special thank you to Rep. John Petersburg who was one of two republicans in the house to support the bill and Sen. John Jasinski who guided this project in the bill.
