The United Championship Racing Alliance 604/Crate Late Model series $1,000 Rookie of the Year title chase was a chase within the Red Line Oil championship, as many as five racers held aspirations for the 2020 award, set to be distributed next Saturday, Jan. 16, in Chattanooga. Jason Cardwell of Knoxville bested the bunch and nearly collected himself a National Points Championship all the while, chasing Cleveland racer Jimmy Elliott. This is a good group of guys, said Cardwell regarding his fellow series competitors. We re all out to help one another race, but in the same stance, beat them to the finish line.
UCRA Tazewell Speedway Dates Confirmed With March Tennessee Home Opener Sunday, January 3, 2021 - by Steve Hixson
The Tazewell Speedway and the United Championship Racing Alliance agreed to forge ahead with the season opener, Saturday, March 20, as planned. Gary Hall owner/promoter of the Ultra-High Banked dirt track is proceeding with agreement from UCRA officials, to host the 604/Crate Late Model series the third weekend in March, despite another area track s decision to host 604 Crate s the same weekend. We already planned our schedules, referring to his track, just north of Knoxville. Unfortunately it looks like this new entity is messing up other tracks schedules too, said Mr. Hall. Of the reported 159 pre-entries at the other facility, Saturday, March 20, only a specific number will make their feature, leaving almost 130 race teams of 604 s GM Performance racers looking for somewhere to race Saturday night.
